MudBrick Creative

MudBrick Creative is a progressive and aggressive design/development company located in downtown Harrisburg, PA. Our ethos hinges on our shared design intuition, firm architecture, and industrious work ethic. Whether designing interactive, print, web, multimedia, or complete brand solutions, we construct each project with vision, ingenuity, and muscle.

We often ask ourselves “Why?” and more importantly, “Why not?” The result? Artists turned designers by trade. A group of conceptual thinkers, visual strategists and problem solvers that live for what we do, and create work that speaks for itself.

Insanely cool demo reel passed onto me by our VFX designer.  Love bot based projects.

Our internal pet project of building a interactive walkthrough of our kick ass office space in downtown HBG is under way.  Have started blocking out the key spaces and doing some basic texturing of our space to match for now.  The real question is whether or not to model Spice our downstairs next door neighbor…lol

How Schools Kill Creativity….An Interesting Presentation.

Thought I would share this, an interesting presentation on how schools don’t foster creativity very well and why.

A Little Bit of Style for Your Monday Morning

Thought I’d share this little gem I found in my travels through the interweb, very cool piece done using some 3D tied to Grafitti.  Enjoy!

Starting to Feel UnrealEd Again!

Well I’m starting to feel like the UnrealEd skills are flooding back.  They changed up some of the ways things are done in UnrealEd 3 but it’s not real far off.  Continued learning on weekends/evenings/lunches will get me back to a point where I can help lead a team to do some kickass level design and maybe get a little bit of recognition for all parties involved.  Some stuff I really enjoy doing.

Anyone interested in possibly helping out with a team of designers/developers on creating some Unreal content hit me up at architect@mudbrickcreative.com.  Enthusiasts welcome.

One More Piece of Inspiration

On a day full of inspiration I thought I’d add just a little bit more. This CGT piece was done by a designer out of Azerbaijan and I just thought it had to get a little more pimping because it is Fan-Freakin-Tastic. Be sure to watch this one beginning to end, you will be amazed one guy can direct, CG, Effects and render this stuff himself.  105 days of work and worth every minute!

Creative Inspirtation

I personally love when I get to see a company do incredibly creative work and deliver visuals that even I can’t figure out how the hell they did it.  In this demo reel by one of the best visual effects companies in the world we get to see a montage of some of the most impressive and stylistic creative work I’ve seen in a while.  Be sure to watch it the whole way through, truly impressive stuff.

MudBrick Creative Delivers for 6 Month Smiles

One of our latest projects to hit the creative afterburner has been 6MonthSmiles.com.  Six Month Smiles™ is an alternative to the usual metal braces used to fixing miss-aligned teeth.  Six Month Smiles™ utilizes clear braces to gently straighten teeth in an average time of only six months! By focusing on the teeth that show when you smile and not making significant bite changes, your dentist can comfortably straighten your teeth and give you the attractive, pleasant smile you’ve always wanted.

MudBrick has been contracted to deliver a new and more progressive site design in addition to content management and some custom application development.

MudBricks content management platform 4Site (http://www.4sitecms.com) will be used to deliver the content management piece of the project.  4Site is a Microsoft .NET CMS that is modular in design and provide contextual editing of content.

The project has already gotten very good reviews from 6 Month’s users and they have been getting tons of traffic since launch.  The company is also expanding and hiring new staff to deal with demand.  Awesome stuff!

Very Cool Video Effect

Just thought I’d share these with everyone.  A unique style of video production using what looks like a combination of stop motion and multi track camera’s with some CGI to get a very stylistic look.  Totally awesome stuff and worthy of a blog post to show off what could be a very unique replacement for the old school Bullet Time.
